This kit contains -
4 x Parallel Wired Solid Probe Heater Plugs
3 x Connecting Wires
1 x Heater Resistor Pepperpot + Coil (Of the correct rating to make sure the plugs glow correctly and still give you a visual indication of the plugs working)
We have spent many hours testing and finding the correct combination of plugs and coil to give the best glow plug hearting effect and retain the original type indicator.

The original system used the electrical resistance of the whole glow plug circuit (plugs, dash indicator and contacting wires) to make sure the indicator and glow plugs worked together and glowed at the same time.
The main issue is that any change in the resistance of any of the components will change the performance of the glow plugs and hence the starting performance.
We have seen many versions of aftermarket and genuine glow plugs as well as indicators both in parallel and series wiring design and decided to make a test rig to test the different versions.
The performance changes dramatically between different manufacture’s and suppliers. Many after market replacements will only glow the dash indicator with the plugs not glowing or even glowing correctly. Other replacement glow plugs burn out before the dash indicator even glows. This can only be due to incorrect components electrical resistance and compatibility together.
We have, as a result of our findings put together two parallel conversion kits that have the advantage of the best performing solid probe glow plugs but still retains the original dashboard indicator design, as many of our customers want to keep things as original as possible. These have been tested and work together as a kit. We have produced a video of the kit and some of our findings over other plugs.
